Spearmint’s Training Log 6/11/2017

Just out for a weekend drive with my cat. Totally normal.

A little late in getting last weeks log up but better late than never, right? Last week was a race week so it was a little lighter on miles, which was nice!

Monday: 4 miles in the morning/10 miles in the evening

Tuesday: 4 miles in the morning/Workout in the evening. It was just 2 sets of 3 K’s. The first 2 K’s of each set were at relaxed threshold pace and the last was at 5k race-pace. Finished up with core and abs

Wednesday: 5 miles in the morning/10 miles in the evening

Thursday: 4 miles in the morning/Quick pre-race workout in the evening. It was 12×400 followed by a fast K. Then I rushed off to meet Pesto at a Washington Nationals game!

Friday: 9 miles followed by core and abs

Saturday:ย 8 miles and strides before heading out to Portland for the race

Sunday: Morning shakeout/Race in the evening. It was a successful tuneup and finished in 15:48 for a little pr! Jumped on a red eye within an hour of the cooldown and got back just in time to go to work in the morning. ROUGH.

Total: 83ish

  1. Congrats on the PR! Ugh on the flight. Did that after a marathon once โ€” finished, showered, got on the plane. Woof.
