Well, hello there Salties! I neglected to post a training log last week since there wasn’t much going on – just a big, post-race dose of The Lazy. It was sooo nice and much-needed! As you can see below, I’ve been easing back into the swing of things. I’m in no particular rush to amp up the mileage, so I’m just listening to my body and taking it easy. Although, I am actually running not one but two Turkey Trots this coming week – but that’s a story for another day!
Week of 11.5.12
Monday – Rest
Tuesday – Rest
Wednesday – 20 minute walk
Thursday – 20 minute walk. Pedicure (aka post-race pampering)!
Friday – Rest; massage (yes, more of that indulging.)
Saturday – Bikram yoga, minus the heat. I needed this!
Sunday – My favorite yoga class, Happy Healthy Backs. Lots of focus on the core. This is a great class for runners!
Total – 2 hours 15 minutes yoga, 40 minutes walking.
Week of 11.12.12
Monday – Rest. I thought about running today, but with back-to-back days of yoga, my shoulders said otherwise.
Tuesday – Rest
Wednesday – Rest. When walking to a meeting (okay, to go get coffee!), I could tell that I was ready to go for a run again.
Thursday – 4 miles at 8:34 pace. Woohoo! I didn’t know I had this in me. 28 degrees…. this chilly mornings are going to take some getting used to!
Friday – 15 minute walk.
Saturday – 6 miles at 9:08 pace. I got to run with some of my “Saturday run” peeps and caught up with a friend afterwards over coffee!
Sunday – Yoga class
Total – 10 miles running, 1 hr 15 minutes yoga
