With all the heart stuff going on last week I got behind on my Salty Running stuff, so I apologize that the boss of the site can’t even get her training logs up in time!
27 and 28 weeks! Welcome to the third trimester! I have cut back on my mileage, mostly by cutting down to 4 runs a week. With appointments and farmers markets and baby prep stuff I can’t seem to get out more than that without really pushing myself in a way that doesn’t feel right right now. While I spent the second trimester focused on staying fit and enjoying running while not formally training, now I have other priorities. I hope to maintain my 4 days a week as long as I can and I think it will actually get easier once my son starts preschool next week and I have two mornings to run with just a single stroller! Woohoo! And the weather. Oh thank you vernal equinox for bringing in the cooler air!
So here’s what I’ve been up to!
Week ending 9/1
Mon: 4 easy pushing the stroller
Tue: 7 pushing the stroller and with my mom buddy Joanne! Averaged around 9:20 pace. Not bad with the stroller these days!
Wed: 9.5 miles on the bridle trails. Was a 10’er cut short by BH contractions.
Fri: 6 on my own while my mom watched the kids. 9:01 average, but last mile 7:55. (shows how slow the rest of the miles were, though!)
Sat: off for farmers market, but ended up not even going as I spent half the day in the ER. Fun times!
Sun: 7 easy on the bridle trails with my friend Kim. Grateful to be able to run after Saturday!
Week ending 9/9
Mon: off – hot. So over the heat!
Tue: Mom watched the kids today and I got in another 7 on my own. No watch. Just enjoyed the opportunity to run!
Wed: 8 miles on the populated bike path. No watch again. After Saturday, my days on the trails are over for a while.
Thu: off – was tired and had to cancel my date with Joanne. Boo!
Fri: 6.5 with Rosemary! So awesome to see her and get to spend an hour running and chatting!!!
Sat: off. Made it to the farmers market!
Sun: 13.5 with the River Run Half Marathon in 1:53:08. I made it! Report to follow 🙂
