Salty’s Training Log – 10.28.12

35 weeks. Less than a month to go now! WOWZA! This was a weird week. I felt totally fine on Sunday after the 5k race. I decided to take Monday off to get some other stuff done. I ran Tuesday and felt pretty decent. But then was crazy busy for two days (sick kid and celebrating my husband’s 39th birthday!) and couldn’t get a run in until Friday.

I hit the treadmill and boy was I not feeling it. Everyonce in a while I’ll get some round ligament pain, but it usually goes away within a couple of minutes if I ignore it. Not this time! It became really painful by two miles. Plus, I had to pee. So I took a break and then hopped on the eliptical for 10 minutes and then tried again. It was better, but still not great. I did manage 3 more miles, but I was crampy the rest of the day and felt terrible!

The weekend was a complete whirlwind of busy-ness. I also felt really tired on Saturday. So no running. I did host some of my bestest running friends (including Pepper!) at my house for a Mary Kay makeover. I’m not a salesperson, but another friend is. I was skeptical, but I ended up purchasing some skin care products and had a blast so it was a total win-win!

My daughter also enjoyed our little party!

Mon: off.

Tue: 5 pushing daughter at the park.

Wed: off taking care of sick son.

Thu: off taking kids to have lunch with Daddy to celebrate his birthday. 45 minutes of awesome followed by 15 minutes of Daddy carrying two crying kids like footballs through Downtown Cleveland after they decided to go Rogue.

Fri: 5 horrible miles + 10 minute eliptical.

Sat: Off

Sun: Off

Total: 10 UGH. But more than I ran during my 35th week with my first pregnancy and only .75 less than I ran during the 35th week of my second pregnancy too!

Salty Running boss and mother of 3 little ones with PRs of 3:10:15 (26.2), 1:25:59 (13.1) and 18:15 (5k). I love to write about running culture, mental training, and fitting in a serious running habit with the rest of a busy life.
