We are working hard on a site redesign! We know that Salty Running isn’t as user friendly as it could be and that there are probably hidden gems within it that even our long-time readers don’t know about. So while we work hard on fixing up this place, we wanted to take the time to point out some of the best features you might not know about. We want you to get the most out of your Salty Running experience!
Head on past the jump to get even more chicked!
We have an index where you can search for posts on just about any topic related to running you can think of.
Posts on race results? Check.
What the heck is hashing, anyway? We have your answer (we think).
Got a race coming up and not sure how to use gels? We got you covered.
Speedism’s a thing? Yup!
If you haven’t done it before, check out the index and see what treasures you discover!
Another great feature we offer is that our bloggers not only share their advice and experiences with you on front page posts, but they also post weekly logs detailing their training. In our training logs, you’ll find out what our goals are, what workouts we do and how we cope when things don’t go as planned and you’ll learn about this in closer to real time than having to wait for us to digest our training experiences and reinterpret them on a front page post. This week alone you can find out:
And there will still be more to come as the Salty Blogger’s upload their logs throughout the week! To see the latest training logs or to check out years of training log archives, visit our training logs page. If you’re interested in reading a particular blogger’s training logs, you can find a link to them in our index, under “[blogger’s name] training logs” (e.g. Salty training logs)
Lastly, we want you to know that if you have a question about anything running-related, you can ask us by clicking on the Ask-a-Salty link (on the main page it’s above the header). From there we will answer your question via email. Sometimes even write a post answering your question! You can check out all our Ask-a-Salty posts here. You can also use the Ask-a-Salty contact page if you have suggestions for posts, comments about anything site-related or even just to say hi. We always love hearing from you!
So tell us, what are your favorite things about Salty Running? Anything not already on the site that you’d like to see?
