– This past week featured some pretty phenomenal weather.
– I got in 85miles with two pretty monstrous workouts.
– My coach might in fact be trying to kill me.
Monday: Hilly with wind advisory 8mi recovery run.
Tuesday: Medium long run, 14mi @ 7min pace.
Wednesday: 9.5mi easy
Thursday: Road/track workout. 2mi warm up. 3x hilly mile road repeats @ 5:58. 5x1000s (5:32ave) on the track with 2mins rest. 10mins @ 5:58 on road. 3mi cool down. Dead.
Friday: 8.5mi easy. Surprisingly not feeling awful after yesterday’s insanity!
30min pool run
Saturday: 10.5mi easy with Mr. Pesto on the bike. Lifted in afternoon.
Sunday: 20mi long run/workout combo. As we know these are some of my favorite things to do, but today was even better because I got to run a leg of a marathon relay as part of my workout. What was not so awesome was that it was nearly 70degrees at the start, the course was INSANELY hilly, and there was some wind. So essentially, wonderful conditions. Our team, Pink Compression won the relay in 2:41 and change so it was an awesome day!
The workout: 3mi warmup, 9.7mi relay leg @ 6:15ave, 2mi @ 7min/mi, 2mi @ 6:10, 3.25mi cool down. Again, dead.
