I dub my life right now “Living in Limbo.” I can’t train like I want, I can’t sleep or shower in my own house, I’m frustrated at work, and I just want to go back to my normal routine. Poor me 😉
This week was low on fitness efforts, and high on work and volunteering efforts. Hey if you can’t train you should give back to the local community that always supports you.
Monday-Bike commute to and from work ~22 miles

Friday-Bike commute to and from work ~22 miles
Saturday- “Rest” Volunteered handing out race chips, setting up the food tent, and passing out finish line medals at the GCT youth tri. Followed that up with helping stuff packets with the right T-Shirt at GCT packet pick up. Then it was off to the house to finish getting the bathroom floor ready for tile. Follow that up with a party and though I didn’t get in any exercise I sure felt like I had a big workout day.
Sunday- More volunteering. Watched my boyfriend get off to a good start in the sprint tri from the swim then I passed out and filled water cups for the aid station in transition. Helped with some aid station clean up then the weekend caught up to us, both of us feeling under the weather we took a long nap and lazily watched Olympians race the marathon and triathlon.
Not the most active week for me, so why do I feel so tired?!?
I’m currently in decide what to do about the foot mode, debating orthotics and electroshock for the foot, but unfortunately funding is an issue. Also debating putting on a boot at all times other than while commuting to and from work. I want to be running. It’s like I have this constant low-level panicky feeling that I should be doing something, and obviously that something is running! But I am reminding myself daily that managing foot pain for the rest of my running career is not an option. If I want to train at a high level I need a body that is 100%. Easier said than done! I cannot tell you how tempting it is to just go run 🙂
