This week clearly started off with a bang and was followed up by very minimal running! But that didn’t stop me from having a little running excitement! Recovery from the marathon is important and I had a few minor body issues going on before the race that I want to be sure to take care of so this week focused on the race, recovery, body treatment, and giving back!
Monday – ~ 7 minute warm up plus some active warm up type drills then 26.2 in 3:02:45!
All of this followed up with lots of dancing, and a bit of bed jumping (That’s how I roll)
Tuesday- Nice relaxing walk all over Boston in the Sun
Thursday- Rest and 75 minute massage
Friday- Rest and 20 minute ART session
Saturday- Volunteering at the On My Own Two Feet Marathon. 6+ hours on my feet handing out cups and dancing around cheering in the cold rain
Sunday- Cheering for my friend Jessica at mile 25 and the finish of her first marathon, a 50 yard dash where I tripped over my own feet, then walking all over the Toledo Zoo, finally some yard work and chores to wrap out the week
Hoping to add in some light running this week, but definitely enjoying the recovery and the beer and ice cream 😉
