Had a pretty lazy week this week. I’m working with a friend who wants to run her first marathon next April, right now my goal is to get her up to five miles without needing to stop and rest (she is up to 2, so we are making progress!). I’m thinking as we increase distance I’ll just start incorporating walk breaks every three to five minutes. Meanwhile, my own running is sliding, but sometimes it’s worth it to help someone else out, and I don’t have any races on the books anyway. Right now I’m just doing it to maintain a semblance of fitness.
Monday (9/8) – Running with a friend on the trail. We did just over 2 miles, slow
Tuesday (9/9) – Insanity Plyometric Cardio Circuit
Wednesday (9/10) – 6 miles nice and easy around the neighborhood
Thursday (9/11) – Insanity Cardio Power & Resistance
Friday (9/12) – Running with a friend. We did just over 2.5 miles. She ran almost the whole way without stopping!
Saturday (9/13) – Okay, you may not consider this cross training, but I literally cleaned my house for 11 hours. I was up and down off of ladders, moving furniture around, etc. For not doing a “workout” today, it left my back cranky and everything sore. I’m counting it!
Sunday (9/14) – off
