Mace’s training log, 10-28-12

Running, everyone says, is a “get to” not a “have to”, and with Frankenstorm looming, I am freshly reminded of that. Looking at the forecast, it’s clear I won’t get to run as much as I want in the coming week, so I wish I’d done more in the one that just ended.  It’s a reminder to bank miles while we’re able, so we can rest without remorse when the winds change suddenly and we can’t.

Happy Halloween from the Boston Athletic Association’s office in Hopkinton! We look forward to this whimsical jack-o-lantern in the window every year…. so clever!

Salty Running boss and mother of 3 little ones with PRs of 3:10:15 (26.2), 1:25:59 (13.1) and 18:15 (5k). I love to write about running culture, mental training, and fitting in a serious running habit with the rest of a busy life.
