This week was somewhat restricted to the treadmill in our dinky townhouse gym. Nonetheless, I was able to get a good run on Saturday and renew my sense of why I continue to do what I do. In the winter doldrums, it’s hard to keep my eye on the prize sometimes. Thinking of the spring racing season and the thrill of crossing the lines of 10ks and half marathons gets me excited during these blah times. Wind chills were down to -15 or so and I even got to leave the office early on Friday because of a snow “threat“. Yes, only in Columbus. Having grown up in the snow belt of Kirtland, OH, I just have to chuckle. But let’s be honest, I wasn’t complaining…but, really?!?
Monday: 3 miles on the treadmill
Tuesday: 4 miles on the treadmill & ab work-out
Wednesday: 3 miles on the treadmill
Thursday: 4 miles on the treadmill & ab work-out
Friday: 3 miles on the treadmill
Saturday:8 miles…OUTSIDE! Cold but just couldn’t do the whole treadmill thing for one more day.
Sunday: 3 miles on the treadmill
So, a lower mileage week. . . pretty stable to where I’ve been the last couple. 28. Oh, and I got a GPS 10 in sexy pink! I love it and am so happy to be able to more accurately track my miles.
