It has been a relaxing few weeks since the marathon and I’m excited to take a little off-season time, but that doesn’t mean I don’t still love to run! I’ve been trotting along, happy to take some of the training pressure out of running.
Now that things have settled down a little I’ve also remembered something I said I’d do back at the beginning of the year…namely, ancillary training. I’ve been getting into yoga as cross-training and I’m kinda digging it.
Anyway, here’s my week:
Sunday 11/3 – the NYC Marathon! I didn’t run per se, but I spent the whole day on it.
Monday 11/4 – Off; back to work
Tuesday 11/5 – 8 miles, 9:30 pace
Wednesday 11/6 – 5.5 miles after work. Slowwwww on tired legs, 10:40 pace
Thursday 11/7 – 90 minute yoga class
Friday 11/8- off
Sat 11/9 – 13 miles with the Prospect Park Track Club – 9:45-10 minute pace
Sunday 11/10 – 4 miles, 9:30 pace
