This past week was a hard week at work. So while I wasn’t physically fatigued, I was mentally exhausted and it showed in the couple of runs that I did.
Thursday: On treadmill, 1/2 mile warm at 6.0 mph & 1.5 miles at 8.2 mph, which was slower than the intended 8.5 mph.
Sunday: It’s Marathon Sunday in NYC!!!! My husband and I cheered for three hours near where we live in Brooklyn. It was so much fun! Our races were a big hit (although a few runners didn’t get the humor). Then in the afternoon, I did an easy 3 mile run in Prospect Park (27:40). I had wanted to do 6-7 miles, but as I started running, I realized my legs were just not there. The stress of the work week really carried over and I couldn’t run. I was just happy that I got out and did a few miles. Hopefully this week work will ease up.
