Life, work and moving into a new house are my excuses for not posting a training log in the past two weeks. But, I’m back on the wagon again and making a point to be more timely with my posts. Hope everyone had a great ‘first day of summer!’ It’s been warm and dry here in Colorado, and although we are a few hours from the fires, the smoke and haze do make it to Boulder and affect the overall air quality. Still, it was a great week of training! Our new house is about 1/4 mile from a trailhead that leads to more gravel trails with great mountain views! It’s now my new favorite place to run in Boulder!
Sunday: 2,200 swim; weights/core.
Monday: Easy bike in the morning; about 5 miles in the evening.
Tuesday: 8 miles including 30 minutes of 200/100 hill repeats (300 rest); weights/core in the evening.
Wednesday: 5.65 miles in the morning; 27 mile ride in the evening.
Thursday: 1,700 swim; 5.65 miles in the evening.
Friday: Weights in the morning/7 miles (ran to work and back)!
Saturday: 31 mile bike ride followed by almost 9 miles. Very warm during the last two miles of the run, and I ran out of water. Still, I managed sub IM marathon pace after biking IM pace for 31 miles. Yay!
