First full week of 2015!
1/4: I did not feel like doing anything today! I planned to run, but it was 5 degrees until noon, and then it didn’t warm up at all like forecasted. When I finally found some motivation to exercise, I decided to hop on my bike for 90 minutes. But, after 2 miles, it was obvious that my body wasn’t happy, and the thought of riding 30 minutes seemed awful. I fought it for about 15 minutes, and then I decided to call it. I did manage some stretching and a few crunches. Saw Unbroken later that night. It was good, but I thought it could be better.
1/5: Wanted some redemption from yesterday. On the bike again in the morning, but my legs still felt heavy. 18.85 miles in just over an hour. Lunch run of 5 miles in 40:18. Still icy in some spots on the path even though it was 55 degrees.
1/6: 5.55 miles in 40:16 with 7 x 2 minutes at goal 5K pace. 2,250m swim in the evening.
1/7: Super freezing temps and overnight snow called for the treadmill in the morning. 7.25 miles in 55:16. Weights in the evening followed by 45 minutes on the trainer.
1/8: Super tired in the morning and NO motivation to get out of bed. Brought Lucy to work and ran 3.5 easy back to work after dropping her off at home. Treadmill run in the evening of 4.55 miles in 35:08. DOUBLE!
1/9: Core then 45 minutes on the bike with 5 x 30 seconds hard. Went out after work with friends, which made for an early happy hour, late night and slow going the next day!
1/10: Didn’t get going until 10:30! Ugh! Fun times last night. 6 miles in 47 minutes. Ate a big bowl of spaghetti and had a Coke which really made me feel better! Went to the gym later to meet some friends for a long swim and some weights. Surprised I could get through the workout.
Running: 31.85 miles
Biking: 53.55 miles
Swimming: 2.95 miles
Weights: > 2 hours
