I was pleased with my training this week. I hit 50 miles per week again. It’s hard to believe that the Rock n Roll New Orleans Half Marathon is a month away! Where does the time go?
Sunday: 11 miles on Magnolia Road, averaging 8:49/mile, which was faster than two weeks ago, when I managed an average of 8:56/mile. I was pleased. Weights and core in the evening.
Monday: 3,050 yards in the pool. An easy lunch time run of three miles on the bike path. Wore shorts!
Tuesday: Morning circuit workout of 500s at goal half marathon pace followed by circuit work as the rest. Got in about six miles just with the workout and totaled 6.8 for the day. The weather was so nice, so I was able to bike to work and spend 45 minutes on the trainer in the evening to shakeout my legs.
Wednesday: Slept in but managed a short weight/core workout. Eight miles in the evening for coaching.
Thursday: On the trainer for a 75 minute workout. Just over four miles around 3 p.m. as a nice break from work. Was able to wear shorts and short-sleeves.
Friday: 9.25 miles before heading to the mountains for the weekend.
Saturday: 8.35 miles on the treadmill. An hour of weights/core in the afternoon.
Running: 50.8 miles
Biking: 2 hours on the trainer; bike to work on Tuesday
Swimming: 3,050 yards
Weight Training: 2 hrs; 25 mins
