It was another stressful week, so let’s go with the pictures again.
Monday I started a new job at Melexis. It was six below zero, I didn’t have the gym thing worked out and I had to do the pretend to be a professional, so I cashed in my “get out of running free” card.
Tuesday I went to the I Hate Gym and ran an hour MP workout plus warm up and cool down 11 miles total.
Wednesday, looked to be the warmest day of the week, so I didn’t miss any time breaking in road new my new office and making use of the office shower. I ran from my office and did a loop around Walled Lake. It was ten degrees. This is unreal. 10.5 mi and a couple of photo-op stops.
Thursday, I was back at the I Hate Gym and ran cruise intervals. warmup then 4 x 1.5mi at 9.4mph with 2 minute rests. 10 miles total.
Friday at the I Hate Gym an easy range progression run totaling 10 miles.
Saturday, I wasted enough time that it warmed up a little and I skipped the I Hate Gym in favor of running in Northville. 10.5 mi
Then my dirty hippie friends burned some oil to come from Akron Ohio to visit for the afternoon. I took them to see Northville, my office, Walled Lake, and Ann Arbor and met one of our readers in person.
Sunday… Now, the part you care about…. Sunday with the Hansons! This is the coolest stuff ever. We all start out in the store. Keith announces that all winter stuff is buy one get one free blah–blah–blah. The team’s new girls take off with the competitive men and I follow them until we spread out and I go with the two girls. I think I ran with Danni Miller and Jen Rock.
And that’s a wrap. I also sent a bazillion e-mails to our little network of fast girls that have actually never met in person. We’ll talk about that some other time. We are all racing in the next two months and will or at least hope to have some good things to show off.
