A straightforward week. I had thought I’d return to 35-40 m/wk, but I began CASA training. On Tuesday and Thursday nights I get home around 9, after 3 hours of class and a bugger of a commute. I needed this week to recalibrate my busy-meter and establish a new normal.
Monday — Indoor track with light feet, relaxed and engaged. Finished the session with some all-out sprints that may have been the fastest I’ve ever run. Followed up with normal weights action. 3.5 miles
Tuesday — 4×600. Ran relaxed and went light instead of hard. Finished these around 6:00 pace. 3.8 miles
Wednesday — Body felt heavy and slow, plus the humidity spiked. I took my phone and snapped pics of my favorite path to share with Salty Running! 2 miles
Thursday — NRC West goodness. 4 miles
Friday — Off day. 0 miles
Saturday — Normal, nothing-to-see-here long run. 11 miles
Sunday — Gobs of yoga and foam rolling for some sweet, sweet release. 0 miles
