Waxing nostalgic this past holiday season, I picked up a jigsaw puzzle from my local target, figuring my family could spend some time relaxing working on the puzzle together. I remember as a kid we would start a puzzle right after Christmas and bit-by-bit, working as a team, the puzzle would magically be complete by the time school began again. People love puzzles. Puzzles are a universally acceptable hobby. Running apparently is not.
We often joke about the best responses to have in our arsenal when someone makes a stupid comment about our running, but what I want to know is: is running the the only universally hated hobby (besides cyclists in the road, who seem to take more than their fair share of criticism?) and, if so, why?
