This week was a bit of a down week mileage-wise which was nice after a few weeks of 90-95 miles. Also, my coach was away all week at some silly meet..(I think it was called NCAA’s or something) so I signed up for a local race in the hopes that I could get some quality work done without having my signature solo-workout meltdown.

Monday: Easy day 4 miles

Tuesday: 9 miles in the morning/4 miles in the evening + weights

Wednesday: 6xK on the track followed by a mile of strides in the morning/4 mile double in the evening

Thursday: 10 miles in the morning/4 miles in the evening +core and abs

Friday: Prerace 9.5

miles + strides and abs

Saturday: 3 mile shakeout in the morning/4 mile race in the evening

Sunday: 16 mile long run
Total: 84
