Pepper’s Training Log – 7/13/14

Sleeping in ’til noon and starting the day with Mimosas is pretty much guaranteed to thwart any long run plans.

Well Salties, this past week I dialed it down and only did two runs and one real bike ride. Neither of the runs were on the plan and I bailed on the planned long run to give the foot a bit of extra TLC. My left foot flared up Monday morning and I have been feeling less than stellar so I took a back off week. I’ve been mixing in two PT exercises my doppelganger has been using to help with her PF and it seems like it is helping, but my massage therapist encouraged me to get in and get some ART and alignment work ASAP because my left leg is all out of whack.

Monday – Short 5 mile bike commute on the single speed to Mitchell’s for vegan ice cream

Tuesday – Rest

Wednesday – 25 miles bike commute on the single speed. 9 miles riding the cross bike playing water support while the hubby tempo-ed.

Thursday – 5 miles easy with 6* sled hill repeats

Friday – 9 miles with Salty with a few small hill repeats after a torturous massage session. You know its bad when the therapist has to pull out an ice pack for you midway through. Let’s just say my left calf is a tight mess.

Saturday – “Rest” Spent three hours in the stream assessing stream banks and then headed straight to the Cleveland Flea for some thrifty shopping and then to my rental property for a walk through. Then it was back home to get in some work hours. No workout for this busy Pepper.

Sunday – Stayed up late working and cleaning and slept in with my hubby who came home on a red eye, so no workouts for me, but lots of social fun saying goodbye to several friends moving to the west coast and brunching and dinner-ing out with my hubby.

A gal on a mission to save Cuyahoga County streams one storm water facility at a time. An ex runner of many facets including marathons, pacing, ultras and more. Chronic left side issues have me cycling more than running these days but I'm attempting to get back to my running roots.
