Another two weeks of “holding pattern” running. Training has been kind of weird the past few months. I’ve been trying to figure out what the problem is (lack of fitness? allergy to kittens? asthma?) and after a blood test yesterday it appears that the problem is most likely iron deficiency. Which is a bummer, but at least there is a clear solution. And for now, as there are no major races on the calendar, I will just enjoy running for fun at 7-8 min/mi pace : )
Saturday 9/5: This was the 27 mile run I referenced in my last post. So much fun and it was so amazing to do a run like this and not get injured, THANK YOU PT! : ) Run: 27 miles
Sunday 9/6: Rest Day.
Monday 9/7: Labor Day! To be safe I took this as a rest day as well.
Tuesday 9/8: Run: 5 Miles, 7:08/mi
Wednesday 9/9: Legs felt totally dead, so I skipped our workout and ran with different friends. Run: 6 miles, 7:30/mi
Thursday 9/10: Legs felt dead again, so just ran easy in the late, hot, humid afternoon. Run: 3.5 miles, 8:00/mi
Friday 9/11: Run: 8 miles, 7:40/mi
Weekly Total: 49.5 Miles
Saturday 9/12: Rest Day
Sunday 9/13: 90 minute trail run with a friend. The weather is finally turning to Fall!!! Run: 12 miles+
Monday 9/14: Run: 6.5 miles, 7:23/mi
Tuesday 9/15: Run: 7.75 miles, 7:28/mi
Wednesday 9/16: Run: 5.25 miles, 7:26/mi
Thursday 9/17: Work from home! Rest Day.
Friday 9/18: Work from home! Run: 10 miles, 7:35/mi
