In the Northeast we had New York vs. Ohio again. We thought for sure that Salty Running’s home state of Ohio would have a significant advantage, but the Empire State brought their A game, and Columbus Running Company fell to the mighty Rochester Running Company, and Second Sole just barely lost to Brooklyn Running Company.
Both matches were close in the Southeast, where Nashville’s NRC just barely squeaked out a win over the Potomac River Running Store. Our other match was a 50/50 tie, and as Europe blasted in the background, Charlotte Running Company won the coin toss over John’s Run/Walk Shop.
It may have been the 13th seed, but 605 crushed 2nd seed Big River in the Northwest. Things were a little tighter between Hanson’s and Twin Cities, but the Hanson’s folks were focused on their 5k and Twin Cities came away with the win.
In the Southwest Division, A Runner’s Mind ARMed up and knocked Flatirons out of the competition, and although Kansas’ Manhattan Running Company had a great showing, they just didn’t stand a chance against Kansas City Running Company, which again had the most votes in the competition. Way to bring it, KCRC!
And today we’ve whittled it down to the Elite 8 to find out who will be the division champions! As always, use the links provided to view more about the stores.
