This week the baby hit the 20 week mark, which meant two things:
- It’s halfway done baking!
- We had our mid-pregnancy ultrasound
The ultrasound was definitely the high point of the week, as it was fun to actually see what was going on in there. Not only was it obviously a tiny person, but we also got to see her moving around and kicking and squirming… which she did a lot of. (Yes, we found out that we’re having a girl! Although she certainly wasn’t forthcoming with that information, which made her father incredibly happy.) We went home with a few pictures, the best of which was of her little feets:
I also started feeling her move around this week, which is probably one of the weirdest things I’ve ever felt. Between that and the ultrasound, it was nice to know that things are progressing as expected in there. It certainly looks like things are growing in there from the outside view.
“Training” sort of took a back seat this week, as I started studying for my licensing exam. The test is at the end of the month, and there were days where I just didn’t have time to get the studying in I wanted and go to the gym. Plus, I might have used the holiday weekend as an excuse to be a little lazy.
Wednesday: 2.25 miles on the elliptical
Friday: 2.3 miles on the elliptical
Sunday: 2.2 mile walk, including a .5 mile hike up a giant hill. WHEW.
Total for the week: 6.75 miles elliptical/walking
