Y’all, I don’t even want to talk about this week when it comes to running. Through a combination of bad planning in the beginning of the week and mind-numbing migraine-causing exhaustion at the end of it, it was a sad scene. The one good thing is that I am now officially done with my grad school coursework, which means no more classes. From here on out, it’s just internship between me and my degree, which means a normal 40-hour per week work schedule. Plus, before that, I get a month completely off. If I can’t get my act together over the next few weeks, then there may just not be any hope for me. Plus, the longer it takes me to get myself back into a regular training groove, the more I start jeopardizing my ability to even train for my big goal race in June, never mind run it.
In short, it’s go time. For real.
Friday: 0 (seeing the trend?)
Saturday: 1-hour step class. In all honesty, the only reason this even happened was because I’d promised a friend I’d go with her, so I dragged myself out of bed long enough to get to the gym and sweat it out with her. After class? It was right back to bed until an embarrassingly late hour.
Next week? More miles. Or else.
