This week got off to a decent start, but then my long run got completely derailed by an unexpected all-nighter on Friday night. There’s absolutely no reason I was up so late (or woke up so early the next morning) except for the fact that I just couldn’t seem to fall or stay asleep. I’m someone who desperately needs to get a decent amount of sleep each night, and 4 hours doesn’t even come close to cutting it. Unfortunately, by the time I recovered from that on Sunday, my entire day was booked and I just couldn’t get out to run before it got dark. At 4:30 pm. (When do we start getting more daylight, again?)
Woe and alas. At least I am getting more consistent when it comes to getting the runs in, which is the important thing.
Tuesday: Rest. I was going to run, but I was still feeling fried from the yoga/race combination over the weekend, so I took an extra day. This wound up being the right decision.
Wednesday: 4 miles
Thursday: 3 miles
Friday: 3 miles
Saturday: Rest, as I stumbled through my day in a zombie-like state
Total for the week: 10 miles
