Ginkgo’s Training Log 2.2.12

It’s February?!? Undeniably my least favorite month of the year, at least it means we are one step closer to SPRING. Not sure why, but I’ve never liked this month. The winter doldrums are setting in and no end is really in sight. The only holiday is a Hallmark one with cheesy cards and cheap chocolate. This February, though, I am telling myself to SNAP OUTTA IT and enjoy each day! I hereby declare this to be a February of Fun with lots of Runsย (and, of course, wine, cheese and comfy nights on the warm couch with great reads, my fiance and my Weimaraner)! If you haven’t seen it already, I invite you to watch this little GEM for some inspiration!

This week went from one extreme to the other: 65 degrees to a windchill of negative 20 or something); pouring rain to a white-out snowfall and wind like no other. I managed to squeeze in some runs despite it and gave spinning a whirl (more on that later).

Monday: 5.4 miles

Tuesday: 3.2 miles

Wednesday: 3.2 miles

Thursday: 5.4 miles

Friday: 2 miles easy on the treadmill

Saturday: 60 minutes of spin

Sunday: 8 miles

Notice the more accurate mileage counts? Yep, I am finally using a GPS again!

On another note, besides running, I was able to spend Saturday with my momma and sister (wish the other one was there, too). This was a bright spot of my week, complete with a Passion Tazo Tea in hand!
