Coriander’s Training Log: 4.28.13

So I’m back from a wonderful race weekend in the woods with little connection to the outside world. It was a great week and I’m still smiling about how well almost every run went!

Monday: Rest day!

Tuesday: 7 miles. I ran really early before work and was happy to finally see some signs of spring on my run.

Wednesday: Unplanned rest day. Boo.

Thursday: 8.5 miles. 5 miles on my own in the rain, then 3.5 with one of my friends who is tapering for her spring marathon.

Friday: 20 miles. I got a long road run in finally! It was sunny, warm and I felt good the whole time.

Saturday: 6 miles. I ran three slow around my college campus and then ran a 5K. I wasn’t planning on running it super fast and ran the race in 23:50 and ended up taking third in my age group!

Sunday: 31 miles. I ran the Forget the PR Mohican 50K. Since the race was on a lot of the trails I will be running the 100 miler on, the goal was to stick to an even pace, not get sick and feel good at the end. I did just that, despite the rain for most of the race and the mud. It was a great day and I got my first belt buckle!

This will be the first of many!
This will be the first of many!

Total: 72.5 miles!

Trail and 100 mile ultra runner who still loves a good road marathon every now and then. Lifetime Northeast Ohio resident that dreams of the mountains out west, but loves CLE too much. Sometimes a vegan, sometimes does yoga, always loves a good craft beer and post race donuts.
