Cinnamon’s Training Log 10.28.12

Since running a half a couple weeks ago I’ve gotten a bit braver with my running. I’m not so afraid to just run until I feel like stopping. Seems like I’m averaging just over 20 miles per week; pretty soon I think I’ll re-introduce Marathon Weeks, which helped me return to running after my post-marathon hiatus in 2010. I’ll explain exactly what it is in an upcoming post!

Monday 10/15 – off, took a nice walk

Tuesday, 10/16 – 4.5 miles SLOW commute from work to a debate party

Wednesday 10/17 (my birthday) – 4 miles

Thursday 10/18 – 5 miles

Fri 10/19 – worked/off

Saturday 10/20 – off

Sunday 10/21 – 10.4 miles (last ten of the NYC Marathon course)

Total: 24 miles

Monday 10/22 – Off

Tuesday 10/23 – 5 miles

Wednesday 10/24 – 5 miles

Thursday 10/25 – off

Friday 10/26 – off

Saturday 10/27 – 10 miles (ish)

Sunday 10/28 – 4 miles

Total: 24 miles

Cinnamon made Salty Running, takes lots of pictures and drinks lots of coffee. She has 8 more minutes to knock off her marathon for a 3:40 BQ, and will get there or die trying. Her writing is an eclectic mix of finding wholeness as an average runner, news reporting, curious reactions, satirical humor and more.
