Ah, the official first half of the holidays- better known as Christmas week. I look forward to this week, for a little looser schedule with work, extra time with family, and also the christmas cookies. This wasn’t a planned cutback week but it ended up being one- no regrets. Some runs were a little shorter than planned to give that time to other things, other runs were skipped all together. I went off the grid with my phone for most of the second half of the week, and I embraced the hell out of time with Brian and our families. Happy Holiday for sure!
Monday: 6ish easy miles after work
Tuesday: Post work Track workout: 7.75 miles total. 4x100m, 6x800m (2:58 avg.), 4x100m. 18 minutes of yoga at home.
Wednesday: 45 minute treadmill recovery run after work
Thursday: 7 mile tempo run, 5 miles at 6:17 avg. for the tempo portion
Friday: Christmas Day, rest day.
Saturday: Brian & I worked around the house all day and then had a date night. Second rest day.
Sunday: 16.5 mile run with a good friend Dawn
