This was a very boring week from a training perspective (and also from a photograph perspective. . .sorry about that. . .). I was still recovering from the hike that my IT bands hated last week, and decided not to try to get into the Chuckanut 50K (due to ongoing IT band issues that I don’t think I can resolve in two months) which was disappointing. Sigh. So it was basically a week of getting back into my normal work schedule and signing a bunch of loan documents (for my potential new house) and making lists of all the things I will need to purchase when I move out on my own (table, chairs, plates, bowls, cutlery, couch, etc. real adult things).
Sunday (1/4): 11 miles on the bike trainer while watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer. My attention span did not last longer than 11 miles. . .
Monday (1/5): Swim 2K yards; still giving my IT bands a break. . .
Tuesday (1/6): Intro back to running. . .3.5 miles @ 7:08 pace (I was pretty excited to be running. . .)
Wednesday (1/7): Slow increase in mileage. . .5 miles @ 7:40 pace and Bike commute to work (14 miles)
Thursday (1/8): Sarah and Deanna’s birthday run! 5.5 miles @ 7:49 pace and bike commute to church (4 miles)
Friday (1/9): All day offsite for work. There was no time for any kind of workout so I run-commuted (4 miles)
Saturday (1/10): Run with my mom (while she biked) 6 miles @ 7:22 pace. IT bands felt good!
Total Mileage –
