Happy Labor Day! I hope everyone had a great holiday on this official last week of summer. I had some tough days this week, but managed to get through them. I did not manage a workout, but I did get in some good race pacing.
Sunday: Long ride of about 92 miles. I decided to try Coke while on my ride and stopped twice at a small store on my route–that loves cyclists. Coke has become my new sports drink during long workouts. (I may need to do a future post on why Coke is liquid heaven…..).
Monday: Weights/core and 4.6 miles (easy) around lunch.
Tuesday: Long run in the morning of 12.3 miles. I was really happy with this run because I started at 9:07 and ended at 8:11, slowly progressing throughout the run. I tacked on about 4 more miles in the afternoon at 7:40 pace.
Wednesday: 7.6 miles in the morning; swim ladder in the evening of 4-8-12-16 (minutes).
Thursday: Weights/core; 4 watchless, super-easy miles. Biked back/forth to work.
Friday: Weights/core and an easy 3-ish miles in the morning. 2,000 yd swim in the evening.
Saturday: 93 on the bike; 8 running. Made my husband follow me on the run on his scooter to give me water and Coke. Wanted to go 10, but some really dark clouds were rolling in along with heavy winds. so we high-tailed it home.
Running: 44 miles
Biking: 194 miles
Swimming: 1.3 miles + 40 minutes
Weight Training: 2 hours
