This training log is going to be short and sweet. Sorta like me, except that I’m not sweet. Or short. In fact, I’m fairly average all-around.
But I am turning thirty this week (gasp). But I’ve decided to measure my age in running years (stay tuned for a related post), so I’m really only 17.
Although when I was really 17, I was lazy, pimply, and rapidly gaining weight.
No matter, I only care about the miles.
And this week, I had some great runs.
Sunday: 11 miles, recovery run (from 15 the day before).
Monday: 10 miles, hills. Did I tell you that I love my hill runs? Just like I love dentist visits, airport delays, and snow. But this run wasn’t that bad.
Tuesday: 6 miles, easy. I love my easy days.
Wednesday: 13 miles, long run. Felt really good, actually. I kind of like running long mid-week.
Thursday: 10 miles, speed intervals. I seriously love these runs. I watch Biggest Loser at the same time, which is crazy motivating. Love it.
Friday: 8 miles, tempo run. My flight to North Dakota left at 6:45 (crazy, right), so I pounded these out at 4 am. Crazy!
Saturday: Off
Total: 57 miles.
Not too shabby for a traveling week! Bring it on 30!
Great week! I hope you have a wonderful birthday! 30s are a fabulous decade (says the old lady who is about to turn 40) – embrace it! :)
Mint recently posted..It’s Been a Long Time
Thanks! I’m actually pretty excited to turn 30 – and then 40. I’m hoping someday it means I’ve figured it all out!
I agree with Mint – 30′s are awesome! Great training week!!!
Thanks! I think (knock on wood) that I’m really for them!
One week into the 30s and it’s great so far! ;) Keep up the awesome work!
Do we get a medal for turning 30? It’s more than a marathon, right?
