Who wins the badge this week?

In case you missed it, it’s been a crazy week around these parts. I was in the hospital for a couple of days getting my heart fixed. It kept me from working on Salty Running at 100% capacity (and made me a day late with this COTW post), but otherwise it was relatively easy-breezy, well as far as heart procedures go. We had a lighter week, but some great posts!

On Monday, the inimitable Mint discussed how she’s strengthening her feet to transition from regular trainers to more minimal shoes.

On Tuesday, the lovable Ginkgo gave us our next Salty Challenge: Learn to love our nasty runner feet. Mmmm. Corns.

Also on Tuesday, the lovely Cilantro discussed her thought process in coming up with her training plan and shared what she came up with to get herself a ticket to Boston!

On Wednesday, the saucy Cinnamon shared her secret to great running form: belly dancing!

On Thursday, the babelicious Licorice followed up her nagging about tracking our resting heart rate with a how-to guide. I, for one, am sold!

Finally, on Friday, the gorgeous ultra-running Coriander gave us her top 5 trail fails.

Oh, and today that chubby murmeltier Punxetawny Phil predicted a short winter. Booyah! Sunny days will be here just in time for a Salty comeback!

And that leads us to the matter at hand. Who is Salty Running’s next top commenter?

Jensparks! Jen left this great comment on Ginkgo’s feet post:

I soak my feet in a foot bath at least once a week, trim the nails, followed by a scrub, and then use a pumice stone to file down corns & callouses. I also use Bath & Body Works True Blue Spa Shea Butter super rich foot cream on my feet every night (apply before bed). It really works! I’ve been told I don’t look like I have runner’s feet, even when I was training for a 50 miler.

No Morton’s Toe here though – very short & stubby toes!

Check out those gorgeous jensparks feet!

We love Jen’s comment because it gives us all hope we might someday have pretty feet.

I was so out of it this week with the whole hospital heart procedure stress thing that I totally forgot Jensparks is a repeat winner! Congrats, Jen! when I told her she won again, this is what she had to say:

Wow, COTW again! :). I’m actually in CA this weekend, far from home (Massachusetts) to run the Surf City Half Marathon. Races are the perfect excuse for travel!

Best of luck Jensparks! Kick bootay! We hope Jen has a great weekend in Cali and that you have a great weekend wherever you’re spending it!
