I've lived in Ohio my whole life until recently, and now live in Boulder, Colorado--the mecca of healthy lifestyle and endurance training. I love to run, tri, train, eat good chocolate, drink good rum, and laugh (a lot). I am a CPA, by trade, and I work for Newton Running, headquartered in downtown Boulder!

Happy New Year!!!  Here’s to a safe, peaceful and prosperous 2013.  Here’s to a great year of running! I hit the the 50 mile mark this week–the first in awhile.  Most of my runs were slow on ice-covered roads, but still, it was great to get out there!

Sunday:  11.25 miles around Boulder.

Monday:  Weights/core and 2,500 yards in the pool.

Tuesday:  9.5 miles around Boulder–a little slow-going after being out late on New Year’s (and drinking a lot of rum).  Weights/core in the evening.

Wednesday:  One hour in the trainer; 6.75 miles coaching.

Thursday:  One hour in the trainer; 5.5 miles easy in the evening.

Friday:  6.25 miles; weights/core in the evening followed by 2.25 miles on the treadmill.

Saturday:  6.75 miles as a workout (4 mins @ effort/1 min steady for a total of 50 mins).  Warm-up and cool down of about 3 miles, including 4*150m strides.

Weekly Totals:

Running:  51.25 miles

Biking:  2 hours (bike trainer)

Swimming:  2,500 yards (1.42 miles)

Weight training:  2 hrs; 10 mins
