About 2 months ago, Salty reader Lacey nominated me to be a Women’s Running Magazine Woman Who Moves! That alone was incredibly flattering. A couple of weeks later, Aubrey Clark, a WRM editor contacted me to let me know I’d be featured in the magazine! WOWZA! I was so excited to not only share a little Salty Running with the Women’s Running readers, but also to tell my story of how I became a competitive runner.
If you pick up a copy of the November/December 2012 issue and flip to page 51 you’ll get to read all about how my husband helped me become the runner I am today. They even included our wedding photo! With all the talk lately about running during my third pregnancy, it’s a nice refresher to see what I looked like just a year ago and read about my pre-kids running life.
What’s extra cool is that my story is featured along with cover contest winner and fellow blogger Dorothy of Mile-Posts and Kelly Miyahara, a Jeopardy Clue Crew member and Ironman. I’m incredibly flattered to be in such awesome company!
If you don’t know Women’s Running is a great magazine, a mix of training tips and lifestyle features in one magazine! It is available at bookstores and newsstands everywhere or you can subscribe to print or electronic issues on their website.

Way to go!!! That is amazing!!!!!
Congratulations! Between you and Dorothy I’m off to get my copy!
