I'm an environmental consultant 9-5 and wannabe local elite runner every other hour of the day. Life is never boring and I trend toward the more outrageous side of life in and outside of running. Who says you can't be fast and ridiculous at the same time?

Umm yeah…sinus infection, rain, and life has turned me into a weekend warrior the past two weeks.

Not one single day of training this week (hides head under covers). Sunday was my third CX race and it is no surprise that after two weeks of no bike training it didn’t go that well. First loop I rode entirely too timidly due to watching someone crash right off the bat and not having time to pre ride the course. The course was a very technical one which did not play to my only skill in cx which is stamina. Oh well, at least I got in a good 40 minute workout. I did manage to finally figure out how to mount my bike while moving during practice after the race.

Mission back on the bike begins this week. Could someone please tell the forecasted rain to go somewhere else! I need my commute time for practicing!

I am “this close” to beginning run training even though my foot isn’t 100% because not running is becoming frustratingly inconvenient. Really trying to behave here.

Oh man. I’m so sorry about your foot. You know you could just take about 12 more weeks off and then we can start back up together :) Hang in there!
