So, I have this bad habit. Or maybe it is a good habit. I’ll fess up and you decide. When running isn’t going “well,” I don’t want to write about it. Maybe it is taking the addage “if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all,” a little too far. Regardless, it explains my delayed training log entry.
This was a fall-back mileage week at 36 miles.
Monday- 6 miles. I wanted to sleep in, but dragged myself out of bed and felt great on the run.
Tuesday- 7 miles with 6 x 3 min on/ 2 min off. Paces 7:07, 6:45, 6:47, 6:57, 7:07. Set a short term goal of getting under 7 min pace for all reps next time around.
Wednesday- 5 miles easy. Was not in the mood to run.
Thursday- weight class
Friday- 8 miles with Kim. Planned to do last 3 miles < 8min pace but I didn’t feel like it. Unlike me because I’m usually pretty stoked for workouts. From my log on logarun:
Can’t tell if I’ve lost my mojo or just in a rut. Haven’t felt much like anything this week either, so hoping it just a “down week” mentally.
Saturday- off
Sunday- 10 miles easy with my first-time marathon training friend, Rae. It’s been really fun to share her first time marathon experience.
