I’m starting to feel like I’m back on the spice rack these days. It was a week with 5 real outings and 2 days off. Physically, I only had slight abdominal discomfort one day, but it was later in the day. So glad it didn’t happen during a run. Not that it was severe enough to keep me from moving, but I just don’t want to make an association of that discomfort and running. The excuse list doesn’t need any additions.
This week, I pulled off the beginner program‘s week 4. It was a little rough, but I plugged along. My sleep has been thrown off, so I didn’t get out as early as I had been. I can’t believe how much difference the temperatures can be within a couple hours. Some days this week I thought I wouldn’t make it. Sweat can evaporate quickly in this climate, but it didn’t happen fast enough some mornings.

Sweat dripping in my eyes means I may need to get my Olivia Newton John on—let’s get physical! Image from sportheadband.com
Sunday: OFF
Monday: 3 run/1 walk. I thought I could possibly skip to 5 run/1 walk, but decided not to push it.
Tuesday: 3 run/1 walk. Got a late morning start and wished it would have been earlier instead.
Wednesday: 3 run/1 walk. Made it out earlier. Almost lost it when an unleashed dog came around a corner with no owner in sight. The owner then came around the bend and nothing happened between the dog and me, thankfully.
Thursday: OFF
Friday: 3 run/1 walk. I don’t really remember much about this one.
Saturday: 3 run/1 walk. ROUGH!!! Didn’t sleep well because I was in big “I HATE MY JOB” mode after working the closing shift at the store on Friday. I had to open the store on Saturday morning, so I had to get the run in early. It was rather chilly, but that was fine with me. I warmed up in no time.
On to a new week!

Nice work!
