Rosemary’s Training Log 7-8-12

I'm a pediatric physical therapist by day. Building mileage up again as I work through a persistent case of plantar fasciitis. Darn PF has slowed my progress towards my running goals but has also made me grateful for every day that I am able to run.

The comeback trail took a detour in Michigan this week for a mini-vacation of beer tasting. Yes, I like eating good-for-me foods. But I also like IPA. I hope you will continue to love both parts of me.

Going to the source for one of our favorite beers, Bell's Two-Hearted Ale.

Due to vacation, I exclusively ran. No cross training.

Monday- 7 miles

Tuesday- 5 miles

Wednesday- 8 miles with 4 miles at 8:00 pace. Ran 8:20, 7:54, 7:39, 7:08. Ran a few laps on a beautiful high school track in Michigan.

Thursday- off

Friday- 8 miles in Ypsilanti with my hubs (his online avatar, for future reference when I surely slip, is ”Tuna”) who doesn’t “like” when I run alone in unknown cities. Reason number 400 million to support the BIA sports watch (as though you needed another reason).

Saturday- 6 miles in the Yps. Ran around Eastern Michigan University. Super cool stadium/track that is somewhat built into the ground. We wanted to run a lap to see if the design held off the wind. But the stadium was locked.

Sunday- 11 miles! Mileage keeps climbing and I’m loving it!

Mileage added up to 45. My foot has been a non-issue this week, despite my neglec of both ice and my beloved boot. First track workout is on tap for next week!
