I'm an aspiring camera assistant in New York's film and TV industry and novice web mistress of Salty Running. I'm a busy lady but there's always time to run!

Running on the beach isn't great for the knees but it sure is pretty!

I spent most of this week babying my injury, trying hard to rest even though I’d rather be running.  I’m finally starting to get back to work a little too, which is great for my wallet and helps keep my mind off of not running (although standing around on my leg for 15 hours isn’t particularly good for it either).  Still I managed to get a couple fun runs in! Last Sunday my running club went out to Long Island for a change of scenery and had a ton of fun!

Sunday: 6 on Long Island – felt good except the part that ran us along the beach really screwing with my leg. Ditched out to the boardwalk as soon as possible.

Monday: Worked.

Tuesday: Worked.

Wednesday: My knee felt really really bad after two days on my feet in Midtown so I didn’t even try to run.  Instead I did some Ab Ripper X and 30 minutes of static exercises.  Gotta stay strong!

Thursday: 40 minutes of 2 minute running intervals; 1 minute walk rest with 5 minute warmup and cool down. I continued my static workout too.

Friday: 30 minutes of 2 minute running intervals; 1 minute walk rest with 5 minute warmup and cool down

Saturday: After a restful week I felt okay running 3 miles slow.  I wore a brace and stopped quite a bit.

What do you think?
