I'm an environmental consultant 9-5 and wannabe local elite runner every other hour of the day. Life is never boring and I trend toward the more outrageous side of life in and outside of running. Who says you can't be fast and ridiculous at the same time?

It’s Boston Taper Time which means a back off in the miles and easier paces while still keeping some quality!

These bad boys are ready to roll at Boston!

Total Mileage 60

Monday: Easy 6.5 with the boyfriend at Fleet Feet

Tuesday: 9 on the track with a ladder interval (400, 800, 1200, 1600 and back down rest at half the previous interval time)!

Splits: 86, 2:52, 4:18, 5:41, 4:13, 2:45, 76

Wednesday: Easy 5.5 Early! followed by an easy 1000 meter swim

Thursday: 9.5 miles @ 6:42 pace with 8 of those at 6:40 effort. Gotta love a huge tailwind on tempo day! 6:25s felt like 6:50 effort!

Friday: 7.5 Easy miles with 6 x 30 sec strides

Saturday: 10 miles @ 6:52

Sunday: 12 miles @ 7:26

Ready or not Boston is in one week!
